You’ve done it – €5,000 raised for an Irish startup

Congratulations to all our fund donors – together you’ve raised €5,000 for an Irish startup.  Actually you’ve overshot the target a little and we’ll hold that amount in reserve for the next fund-drive (or donate to charity in the case of that not happening).

The next stage is the call for applications where we’ll post an online form for entrepreneurs interested in being considered. More details about that in a few days so keep your eyes peeled and please spread the word to any startup people you might know. After all there’s €5,000 up for grabs!

  4. Woooooohooooo! Looking forward to going through the applicants and picking my favourite. The winner will be interesting but more interesting will be the view of the Irish start-up scene the applicants will provide.

    Well done lads.

  5. Thanks lads, and thanks for all your support, retweets, donations and so on. We hope to launch the application process within the next few days.

This is a fantastic validation of the crowdsourcing concept. Responding from the Silicon Valley. Crowdsourcing is in the early stages. Much success.

5,000 and more importantly 100 people mostly in business that will have just spent their own money. You can be sure we’ll be expecting the applicants to use it wisely and we’ll all take a keen interest in their progress, provide advice where possible etc.

It’s a great opportunity for any start up.

  8. Hi Lads,

Just wanted to say on behalf of everyone at iQ Content – well done on a great initiative, and well done on hitting your target. Thanks too for the very kind namecheck of the iQ Prize.

Really looking forward to seeing who scoops the cash now. And more of this kind of thing needed! (Politicians wake up!)
